I recently watched the film Daisy Kenyon. This is the synopsis that was written on IMDB.com:
“Commercial artist Daisy Kenyon is involved with married lawyer Dan O’Mara, and hopes someday to marry him, if he ever divorces his wife Lucille. She meets returning veteran Peter, a decent and caring man, whom she does not love, but who offers her love and a more hopeful relationship. She marries him… just as Dan gets a divorce.”
The film managed to be slow at times, yet still have moments of dramatic overacting (and we would expect nothing less from our dear Joan). What impressed me the most were Joan’s massive shoulder pads that she wore throughout the film. It must have been exhausting for her to carry those around.
