Joan Crawford was known for being very dedicated to her fans and spent a great deal of time personally responding to each letter that was sent to her (except fanmail from former classmates at Stephens College - they know what they did). Joan, being so devoted to her fans, occasionally will come back from the dead to answer your questions. Here she is now in all her resurrected glory.
Q. I’m considering moving in with my ex because she needs a roommate. Do you think this is a good idea? Tyler Jagel, Naperville, IL
A. If you’ve earned a position, be proud of it. Don’t hide it. I want to be recognized. When I hear people say, ‘There’s Joan Crawford!’ I turn around and say, ‘Hi! How are you!’
Q. I want darker eyebrows just like Joan Crawford’s but I end up looking angry/insane. Would Joan approve of this? Peggy Zabicki, Chicago, IL
A. I’d like to think every director I’ve worked with has fallen in love with me. I know Dorothy Arzner did.
