What Would Joan Crawford Do?

This was too funny not to post. Here is a clip of Joan from the movie that really got her career going - Our Dancing Daughters. I think the part I love best is that the mom character tells her she’s too young to be wearing perfume, and then Joan’s character says she’s going out dancing and won’t be home until dawn. Am I missing something here? “Sure honey, you go out and drink and dance all night. All I ask is that you stay away from perfume.”
